A Taste of Apple Country is a annual Wine and Music Fest sponsored by the Biglerville Hose & Truck Co. #1 of Biglerville, PA; the first event was held in conjunction with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the department.  Biglerville is a small town located in Adams County in south-central Pennsylvania, approximately 10 minutes north of Gettysburg and 30 minutes south of Carlisle.  Biglerville Boro is home to approximately 1200 people, and there are approximately 100,000 people in all of Adams County.  The Biglerville area is home to many farms and orchards, as well as a few local wineries.  Every year, the National Apple Harvest Festival is held a few miles west of Biglerville, and attracts hundreds of thousands of people each year.  Biglerville is also home to the National Apple Museum, as well as the Thomas Brothers' Country Store, which is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
